Remarks

The Drascombe Lugger remains a very popular open day sailer/cruising/adventure boat and was the first Drascombe built (with over 2000 built between the late 1960s and 2000, and since superseded and built as the Devon Lugger). Larger than the Drascombe Dabber, and smaller than the Gig and Longboat, this traditionally styled 'Swallows and Amazons' day sailer can accommodate up to 6 people and is ideal for for sea, lochs or lakes. One Lugger famously even sailed from England to Australia in 1969-1970 - quite possibly the longest journey ever undertaken in a small open sailing boat at that time!

This early GRP Drascombe Lugger is being sold complete with a good Snipe break back trailer. She does require some GRP repairs to fix a leak (thought to mostly be around the bottom of her centre plate case), and hence the low asking price. She would therefore ideally suit a buyer who has the required DIY skills to make the repair themselves."
