Construction

• GRP construction
• Hull scraped and epoxy coated 2009 (below waterline is clear gel which generally does not get osmosis)
• Paint finish to hull above waterline (matched to original gelcoat colour)

Remarks

With a theoretical hull speed of 6.81 knots and Capsize Screening Number of 1.82 (with anything less than 2 being considered appropriate for serious offshore sailing following the 1979 Fastnet disaster), the Achilles 9 metre/Achilles 9M is a sea worthy, strongly built (in Wales) yacht which offers good and renowed performance for her size and is equally at home racing around the cans or family cruising. This example is set up for short-handed sailing and is fully equipped, in commission and ready to go! In the current ownership since April 2007, she is offered for sale due to the declining mobility of her owner.

This vessel is currently British SSR registered.

MOORING: The vessel's east coast berth is understood to be transferable (currently paid to 30/09/22, annual cost approx. £1,160)

PART EXCHANGE: A smaller yacht for Broads sailing might be considered for part exchange.
