Remarks

With her distinctive yellow sails and shining brightwork, this is a truly lovely little two berth Broads yacht! Built in the winter of 1937 and number 7 of a class of 11 Waif yachts built over an extended period between 1927 and 1954, "Urchin" started life along with the other early yachts of the class in hire with Alfred Pegg of Wroxham before being transferred to NBYCo and then later still to the Martham Ferry fleet. She was released from hire in 1955 when purchased by the mother of the current (sibling) vendors - and amazingly she has remained in the ownership of the same family ever since! Substantially renovated over the past 20 years by the vendor (who trained at IBTC, Lowestoft) under the guidance of one of the very best boat builders in the county, this little sailing cruiser is beautifully presented and understood to be in great structural condition throughout. Clearly a very much loved vessel, and very sadly offered for sale due to the vendors having use of another Broads yacht, "Urchin" is now looking for a new custodian with which to begin a new chapter of her life.

MOORING: Use of a wet shed mooring until the end of the 2021 season may be available by separate negotiation.
