Remarks
Originally built by Alfred Pegg in Wroxham and named after himself, "Peggy" was bought by Applegates at Potter Heigham and proved extremely popular in hire. She subsequently moved to the Herbert Woods fleet in 1957 and was purchased by the current owner in 1982. She has been laid up in shed storage since 1990 undergoing a comprehensive restoration using a combination of traditional and modern techniques which have resulted in a yacht that is authentically 107 years old but has performance and strength similar to that of a modern GRP yacht. Work still required prior to recommissioning is understood to be relatively minimal, included the refitting of deck fittings, cleats, bilge pump, port lights/windows, mast fittings, rudder and new cabin roof sidewalls, plus normal pre launching preparations, antifouling, etc. Peggy offers lively performance on water and has a RCC handicap of -18p. Regretfully for sale due to the retirement of the yard owner and vendor being in his 80's.
