Mechanical & Electrical

This River Cruiser Class yacht is thought to be the first yacht in the world to have been fitted with an electric inboard motor in 1928 (though sadly no longer present), and was known as The Ghost Boat of the Broads at the time, as she could move along mysteriously when there was no wind! She was privately commissioned by Captain John Muir Donaldson MC for the princely sum of £400 and named after the house in Kenley, Surrey, in which he was born. Her current owners of some 19 years state that she is a good roomy yacht, very suitable for family cruising, and that she has never, to their knowledge, been used for racing. She has been professionally returned to a very original condition throughout using traditional methods, and comes with an extensive history, including original logs, dating back to her date of build.

This RCC yacht is extremely competitively priced for a quick sale due to the vendor already having found a replacement!!!

The vendor also has for sale a 1954 Martham Boats Half Decker and is open to offers for both vessels together.

DINGHY: A 10ft 1930's Percy Hunter built wooden lug sail dinghy with trailer is also available by negotiation (for offers in the region of £1,500).
