Remarks
This Pegasus 800 is one of 4 yachts originally commissioned by Herbert Woods for his hire fleet, and she therefore benefits from a few features not commonly seen on Pegasus 800s (e.g.: dedicated heads compartment, fixed galley and a redesigned shroud/mast lowering arrangement). She was subsequently in two other hire fleets and converted to electric propulsion in about 1995 - it's believed that she was the first yacht to be converted since the 1920s! In the late 90s she was hired two years consecutively by the current owners, and they like her so much that they later purchased her when she became available on the private market in 2007. The Pegasus 800 is a very popular Broads yacht, and if ever a Pegasus was specifically designed for sailing on the Broads, this is she! Add to that her quiet and economical motor (the batteries are the expensive element, and these have been replaced only this year and should be good for many years to come if well looked after), and you have an ideal Broads sailing cruiser. She would benefit from some cosmetic TLC, particularly externally, and this is reflected in her asking price, but otherwise she's currently lying afloat in commission and ready to sail!
Price reduced August 2012 for a quick sale!
