MAST/SPARS: Bamboo mast with pine boom and gaff. Also a spare mast (Columbian pine). The mast is mounted in a tabernacle and the vessel has mast lowering gear.

SAILS: Loose footed, slab-reefed main and 2 headsails, all in cream Dacron by Jeckells (valeted by them during winter 2001/2002). Fitted sailcover.

EQUIPMENT: Internal: The boat has a large cockpit with seating to both sides and a full-length V-berth under the foredeck. Weather protection is provided by a folding brown canvas cuddy which can be left up whilst sailing and which can be fully enclosed. There is also a frame tent in the same unmarked brown canvas which zips onto the cuddy, thus giving a fully enclosed cockpit if required. In addition, the boat has a fitted tonneau cover. She is very well appointed with lockers for storage throughout the vessel and in addition there are large buoyancy compartments into which further items could be stored if required. Under the foredeck there is also a locker which will hold a Portapotti if required. External: The boat's deck fittings are all in aluminium-bronze and her brightwork, which is finished in Sikkens Novatech plus varnish, is immaculate. Her hull, which is also immaculate, is finished in Epifanes 2-pot polyurethane paint. She comes complete with a Snipe break-back road trailer, ropes fenders and mudweight.

REMARKS: This boat looks, in every way, like a new vessel except that her brightwork is probably better than the standard provided by many builders.

OUR OPINION: Boats are frequently described as "immaculate". Though we have not seen her out of the water, and thus cannot comment on her bottom, this one really is. A super boat for day-sailing or overnight camping for 2/4.
